Tough As Nails® also increases your horse’s intake of sulfur containing amino acids to help improve hoof growth and provides them with additional calcium, which is involved in the cross-linking of hoof proteins. Added organic trace minerals are used for their increased bioavailability over inorganic sources and compared to similar products, Tough As Nails® supplies a higher concentration of iodine, which can act as an anti-fungal agent, and we find this is especially helpful for horses with White Line Disease or persistent Thrush.
